2016 Relief Society Talk

Hi I am Nikki Hall for those of you who don’t know me, I have 5 year old girl and a 4 year old boy and i’m due in October, but we are not finding out what it is. I am extremely emotional I blame it on the hormones and so I apologize for whats to come.  I have been married for 7 years and lived in this ward 3. We have the great dane and we love anything Disney.
Today I have been asked to teach you about about President Uchtdorf's talk from Aprils Conference He Will Place you on His Shoulders and Carry You Home.
I don’t feel like I could tell you about his personal experience as well as he can. Please join me for a few minutes.

Watch :22 to 4:25
As I was listening to him I had two key points stand out to me.
1st The world around us appeared totally hopeless with out any future.  and 2nd These scars are not only a reminder of the war history of this, but also an monument of of hope. A magnificent symbol of mans ability to create new life from the ashes.  I would you to to think about t…

Feeling a little emotional today as I realize my baby is 3. He is the happiest kid and the easiest kid. The terrible twos were a breeze with him. I think he is getting a little bit more stuborn and independent in the last couple of weeks though. Hopefully 3 is just as easy as 2 was.
We call him captain obvious because he tells you exactly what is going on. He told my brother and sister. "That's my Mom".  If we are outside he will tell anyone "Hey we are outside".
He puts him self to sleep sometimes, which is really a nice change from Peyton who has a hard time sleeping.
Houston will eat pretty much everything. He has always been a really good eater. He his a meat and potatoes kind of guy.
Right now he is into all things boy. Cars, Planes, Trains and Trucks! It often shocks me how extreemly opposite my kids are when it comes to toys. Peyton is all girl and Houston is all boy.
He loves peeing on trees and outside.... He can hold his own with his sister she has…

The best alfredo sauce i've ever had!

I got this recipie from a friend and I have yet to find a better one. It's our families favorite. I don't order Alfredo at resturants any more because I think mine is better and theirs now dissapoints! #AlfredoSauce

Mickey German Pancake

My kids were really missing Disneyland this morning. I was nervous because my 4 year old is really picky. My 2 year old will eat anything and everything.  When she asked for more and more again, I thought I need to pin this to save for later!!!

 6 eggs
 1cup milk
 1 cup flour
 dash of salt
 1 tsp vanilla
  5 Tbs butter
Preheat oven to 400 degrees F. As oven preheats, put the butter in an un-greased  9×13-in. baking dish and place in oven, just until melted.   Place the eggs, milk, flour, salt and vanilla in a blender; cover and process until smooth. Pour batter into baking dish. Bake, for 20 minutes or until edges are golden brown and puffy. When done, sprinkle generously with powdered sugar and syrup. Enjoy!

Thankful Day 1

Today I am grateful that I got to wake up to this face.
This is the first thing I saw this morning. She said "Dad let me borrow it." I knew it was the one he left up high for himself for later.  Peyton is extremely independent she likes things done her way. I wonder who she gets it from :)  She is so energetic the only time she holds still is to sleep.

I'm lucky to call her mine and so thankful I can.

Houston is ONE!

At Houston's one year check up he was in the 100th percentile for height and 50th for weight which is almost exactly like Peyton  It is fun to compare these two and see how different they are.

* He says Hi to everyone whether they notice it or not. Every morning when I go to get him out of his crib. I open the door and he is standing there and says "HI". He also says Thank You, Mama, Dada, Uh Oh, No, Ball, Balloon. We are working on Kilo, it sounds like KKKKK. I'm trying to teach him Peyton, but he just laughs every time I point to her and say her name. He mimics a lot of her sounds. If Peyton screams Houston screams. If Peyton sings Houston attempts. If Peyton growls Houston growls.

* He is walking all over the place! He actually started walking a few weeks before his birthday. I was hoping he would be a late walker, I guess if you compare him to Peyton he was ;)

* He has 8 teeth, four on the top and four on the bottom. I really don't like teething.

* H has to …
